Rowdy is a 2014 Telugu crime film written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma. It stars Mohan Babu and his elder sonVishnu Manchu with Jayasudha and Shanvi Srivastav in important roles. Sai Kartik composed the music for this film while Satish Mutyala handled the cinematography.
The film opens in a street in Hyderabad in a night with Krishna (Vishnu Manchu) saving Sirisha (Shanvi Srivastava) from some eve teasers and accompanying her to the hostel she stays. In the journey, they both come to know that they hail from Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. When Sirisha asks Krishna about the details of his father, the scene shifts to the native place of Krishna where his father, a don fondly called as Anna (Mohan Babu) and as Annagaru with respect punishing a teacher named Sankar Rao for harassing his pregnant wife for dowry on the complaint of the woman's father Rama Rao. Anna is a sexagenarian man who always thinks about the welfare of the people of Rayalaseema and they too revere him equal to god. Anna is a very powerful and influential don who also controls the political affairs of that region. His friend Ananda Rao (Paruchuri Gopala Krishna), a ruling party politician, is his close friend and he and the party extends their full support to Anna to stop the Nandavaram project whose happening would destroy 34 villages completely. On the other hand, a group of influential people working under a mysterious man try to make the project to earn crores. The group consists of KR, Vedantham Murthy aka Vedam (Tanikella Bharani), Chandi (Jeeva) and Seshagiri who is fond of cakes.Krishna visits his home when Anna kills his opponent Guruva Reddy (Banerjee) and appoints the dead man's henchmen as his henchmen by promising a little high salary. Then the family of Anna is introduced. Anna is survived by his wife Lakshmi (Jayasudha), elder son Bhushan (Kishore) and Krishna. Bhushan is married and has a kid but he never loved them and hates them to the core. Unlike Anna and his dutiful and devoted brother Krishna, Bhushan is a spoil brat often terrorizing people in the name of Anna creating fear in their hearts. When a young woman's brother warns Bhushan, Bhushan comes to their home and kidnaps the woman and conducts a sexual assault on her in his farm house. Bhushan, also because of his anger on his father apart from greed for money, joins hands with KR's group for formation of Nandavaram project. Meanwhile Krishna and Sirisha are deeply in love and Anna's trusted henchmen Ramudu finds out that she is Gavarraju's daughter. Gavarraju was Anna's enemy who was killed by Anna at Tirupathi during an assassination attempt. Though Sirisha is aware of it, she has no objection to join his family and Anna too respects Krishna's decision to marry her and accepts their alliance.

'Betting' Raju (Ram Charan Teja) is a Hyderabad-based happy-go-lucky guy who makes his living by betting. He lives with his adopted parents (M. S. Narayana and Sudha) who support his means of living. Everything goes on as usual until tragedy strikes the family in the form of his father who is diagnosed with cirrhosis as a result of heavy drinking. Raju needs INR 2 million for his father's liver transplant, which must be done within a month. As he is on the lookout for money, he is approached by James (Ajmal Ameer), another bookie whom he had already met at an earlier competition, with a betting challenge. James dares Raju to make Chaitra (Tamannaah Bhatia), a dental student and the daughter of the powerful betting committee president Bellary (Mukesh Rishi) to fall in love with him. If he is able to make her fall in love with him before the month end i.e. 31 December 2011, he would win INR 2 million.

A desperate Raju, badly needing the money for his adopted father's operation, takes up the challenge and begins wooing Chaitra. Initially, Chaitra appears to spurn his advances and sets him even tougher challenges to propose her. Raju successfully overcomes all these challenges and Chaitra soon reciprocates his advances. Unfortunately, Bellary finds out about this relationship and sends his henchmen to kill the couple on the night of 31 December, the day Raju is to win his challenge. Raju successfully thwarts the henchmen and he and Chaitra escape to Srisailam. Bellary, with the help of his corrupt minister-friend Baireddanna (Kota Srinivasa Rao) and the latter's Dubai-based son (Dev Gill), begin a search for the couple.

Meanwhile while Raju and Chaitra are on the run from Bellary's and Baireddanna's henchmen in Srisailam, James surprisingly appears and rescues them. At this juncture, Baireddanna's son appears, kidnaps Chaitra and stabs James. A wounded James then reveals to Raju about the latter's past.

Raju was the son of Suryanarayana (Parthiepan), a respected man in Rayadurg. Suryanarayana was best friends with a rich man Ramamurthy (Nassar), whose daughter was Chaitra. Chaitra was a childhood friend of Raju. Suryanarayana's brother-in-law was none other than Bellary, who had found out about the presence of iron ore under Ramamurthy's land. He and Baireddanna decided to exploit the ore for their sinister purposes. When Suryanarayana and Ramamurthy objected to this, Bellary, Baireddanna and their henchemen killed them and their families, except Raju and Chaitra. Chaitra was adopted by Bellary, who planned to kill her when she became a major, so that he could acquire Ramamurthy's land. Chaitra, who already knew about Raju's betting nature, told James, who was her school friend, to place the INR 2 million bet to Raju so that he could destroy Bellary and Baireddanna. Raju decides to avenge his father's death and kills Bellary, Baireddanna and his son in a thrilling climax at Rayadurg, rescues Chaitra and distributes Ramamurthy's land to the villagers.

Railway Station is the story of three unlikely friends who meet at a train station. Each of them are unemployed and homeless. Rishi (Prabhas) is a happy-go-lucky guy who is the son of Bhupathi (Krishnam Raju). Rishi is influenced by his father's ideals and grows just like his father. But Bhupathi doesn't want his son to follow the violence and make more enemies. He sends his son to Bangalore for his higher studies and learn music. There Rishi falls for Deepali (Deeksha Seth), an orphan and brings her to his house in the disguise of his old music teacher as he wants his father to be happy that he doesn't take up the violence. During the festivals held in their village, the truth is revealed in the fight between the thugs sent by Simhadri (Pradeep Rawat) to kill Bhupathi and Rishi saves his father by eliminating all the thugs. Simhadri, on the other hand, joins hands with Bhupathi's brother (Mukesh Rishi) and kills Bhupathi and Deepali in a temple. Rishi sets to avenge his family and is assisted by Raju (Supreet), who had assisted Bhupathi. He finds that there is another person named Stephen (K. C. Shankar) involved in the disaster along with his father's brother (now changed to Robert). Rishi now sets a trap to find the whereabouts of Stephen and Robert, who are ruling the underworld,using their assistant Nanu. For that, he makes Nandini (Tamanna), daughter of Nanu, to fall for him. In the end he kills the goons and unites with Nandini.
